Conservatives don’t hate all government, they just hate government that benefits someone other than just them, and doesn’t hurt the Other
Even before I saw this was current affairs, I knew the answer:
Because the elemental philosophy of conservatism is that there should be in-groups whom the law protects, but does not bind, and out-groups whom the law binds, but does not protect.
Conservatives believe that the purpose of the government is to stop strikes, peasant rebellions, and boycotts.
Brainwashing. They have been conditioned to hold contradictory views, without suffering from the effects of cognitive dissonance.
They didn’t see themselves as the ‘people’ that would be targeted by government overreach.
They were happy to watch the tranquil blue skies for ominous shadows. The kind only left by birds of prey whose desire for flesh could not be fulfilled.
They love power, especially having it. The only ppl they act tough with are liberals. Their entire identity is wrapped up in performing strength so the strong won’t attack them for being weak, like their daddies did.
Because cops exist to protect capitol? I’m not watching the video
Capital?
