Review why they are illegal in the first place, and why there’s a certain bar to meet for obtaining citizenship or residency
Common reasons in the US
- legal residency revoked due to country of origin often having dark skin
- asylum claim still in court
- visa revoked due to writing an op-ed
- judge would get fired for ruling in their favor
- actually a citizen, but racist cops don’t recognize citizenship of people with dark skin
