This is a special edition of MG Freedom 2.0 with Cross Contrast and clear colors. It also came with unique water slide decals and a clear Action Base 1 instead of the crappy stand that other MG Seed kits get. I panel lined with silver enamel paint and sprayed matte topcoat to give the clear parts a frosty look.
Just finished installing the under frame. I’m so reluctant to add on the armor and have been taking weeks having the figure sit in the back of the kitchen table while admiring the details when eating.
Now that I’m done with model shows for a while, I’ve shifted gears and decided to work on some girlpla for a while. This one is mostly a straight build, with a bit of panel lining, some decals, and matte topcoat. Overall, it’s a good build, and great value for what comes in the box, including 2 full models and lots of accessories, not to mention pre-painted and detailed pieces.
I took the MG Unicorn and MG Altron with me, then went to a nearby gundam shop to get the 2 Action Base 4’s and ended up getting an MG Sandrock while I was there.
NOTE: Release dates are for Japan; expect a couple weeks to a couple months delay for items to release in your country. Also expect some markup from the JPY price.

I have a hot take/unpopular opinion: I love my Gundam Marker Airbrush. When powered by a compressor instead of the cans of air, it makes an excellent tool. I know gundam Markers are kinda pricey but there is zero clean up and no thinners.
GBWC (Gunpla Builder's World Cup) is Bandai's official Gunpla building contest they hold annually. This will be my first time submitting something for the contest. My project will consist of 3 models and a simple display for them.
So, I missed the first round of voting, but the second round is up, to pick from the top 20 from the first round. Top picks from this round get a re-release (in Japan, obviously, but hopefully that'll trickle overseas). Rules are that you can give one vote a day from Bandai Hobby, and one vote a day from Builders Note, but the latter seems to require a Bamco ID.

The options to order online I have where I live are really limited. So when I was in Japan I went crazy. I'm really happy with what I managed to pick up.
This kit made me swear off special coating kits. The white armor parts have a shiny coating with a metallic base layer that shows through on the corners. It's a pretty nice effect, but you are unable to clean up the nubs without damaging the finish, and the pieces aren't undergated. On top of that, it's Gramps 3.0, which isn't the best version (I hear it's either 2.0 or GTO for MG). All that for $100 price tag. I can't say I'd recommend this kit unless you really like Gramps and aren't a painter.
A discussion in the weekly discussion thread prompted me to post this one today. I panel lined, used the included sticker decals (eww), and sprayed a matte topcoat.
This one is just a straight build, nothing extra done to it. It was pricy for a MG and a Gundam Base exclusive, but I love the Freedom, so I had to get it.
Not exactly Gunpla, but this is what I've been working on over the last couple weeks. It's 1/10 scale, so Greed herself is about the same size as the Avatar Fumina in the corner (so a head taller than a typical HG). Yeah, this is the single biggest kit I've done so far. The kit did come with 3 hex plates for display bases, but the big stand for the whale had holes for the display arms, so I just stuck them all together. Not sure if you can tell from the pic, but Greed is actually being held up by a display arm plugged into her back, because she can't stay balanced naturally on the whale's back.

I started my streak with the intent of restarting this community. I feel I was successful. There are now multiple new posts every day and we’ve gained almost 200 subscribers. We still have just a few people posting, but I’m starting to see new names in the comments.
I learned quite a bit after painting my first project, and this one ended up turning out much better. The main lessons were to paint in layers and the masking tape from Hobby Lobby sucks. I painted everything but the white armor.
I've been saving most of my box tops since shortly after starting this hobby. The artwork on them is nice and I figured I could do something with them sooner or later. Someone on reddit posted something similar a while back and gave me this idea. I didn't feel like working on my current project last night, so I made this instead.
My recent full paints. You folks have seen these already but I’m at the point now that I’ve posted pics of every Gunpla I still have in my possession. After much negotiations with my wife, who does in fact have the final say, I won’t be getting any new kits for a few weeks until my preorders come in from P-Bandai. So I guess I’m gonna lose my streak but maybe somebody new will pick up the torch.
Sending another painted space autistic into their plastic tomb. I always find it funny the details I try to paint only to never see them again once the kit is built.
